這首歌曲的副歌段落，可以聽到借用了「卡農」的熟悉樂句，寫成了非常抓耳而溫馨的旋律；Maroon 5 透過淺白的歌詞訴說著生命中面對離別的經驗。據說這首〈Memories〉是寫給 Maroon 5 逝世的前經紀人，他們也希望透過這首作品鼓勵那些失去摯愛的聽眾。
