〈Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl 自學女孩之歌〉收錄於美國新生代創作才女 Olivia Rodrigo 的第二張專輯《GUTS》當中，歌曲赤裸地講述許多社恐女孩的真實心聲。
Olivia Rodrigo 自從小學畢業之後，就因為工作的關係改為在家自學，所以這首歌在某些程度上反映了她一路以來的親身體會，包括許多青少年會遇到的各種焦慮與煩惱。雖然整首歌聽起來有點歇斯底里，但真情流露的歌詞和口吻真的讓人一聽就被吸引，特別是如果你也和 Olivia 一樣有相同的遭遇，一定超級有感的吧？
歌詞中有提到一個詞很有趣，叫作 Social Suicide，也就是近幾年中文流行的「社會性死亡」，簡稱「社死」，原本指的是人被社會忽視或孤立，後來衍伸為一個人因為做了某件「超級尷尬、羞恥」的事情，恨不得想趕快找個地洞鑽進去，相信大家人生中應該或多或少都有這種「社死」的時刻吧！
Olivia 在歌詞當中列舉的種種行為一個比一個慘，彷彿自己就是真人版的大雄，做什麼事都會出糗、犯錯，甚至連感情路都不順，導致最後根本不想踏出家門，還不如宅在家裡最舒服自在呢。
